Screw the stores, do it yourself. I’m trying to live a very domesticted sort of anarchy, making and mending and dreaming of self-sufficiency.

I read your article on sampkin and wondering about it in the United States. We eat it here too, we call it pickle weed but I’ve read its salicornia. I live on the central coast of California between Monterey and Santa Cruz and we gather it in the elkhorn slough. Thanks for the tip for cooking it, I’ve just always added some to salads raw.
